Kirsten and Conner Hornby Island Wedding

Who: Kirsten and Connor

Their story:

It was an easy connection for me - they had a love of Hornby Island, dogs, and a vision of a gathering that allowed friends and family to connect and appreciate celebration and nature. It makes perfect sense.

These two met by chance in Mexico. He was on a boy’s trip and she was on a girl’s getaway and his friends as the gals to take a picture of them at the airport. It turned out that they were staying at the same resort. That fortunate moment led them here.

Kirsten and Connor celebrated on Hornby Island at Connor’s family home and their friends came from all over to be with them for a weekend of food, drink and a shared expression of love for Kirsten and Connor.

On the first sunny day in some time, these two braved the heat and exchanged beautiful vows at Grassy Point. Connor was beaming as Kirsten arrived and you could watch them both, throughout the ceremony, scanning the field and taking in and being impacted by the fact that their family and friends were there for them.

After the ceremony, we headed to the patio overlooking the ocean. The scene was decorated with sweet personal touches made by the bride and guests, clearly in awe of the environment mingled and relaxed together. It was perfect.

When you have a Hornby wedding you have something a little extra special - no one has anywhere else to go, the land provides additional beauty and the vendors, all Hornby locals, are often friends, which was the case here - all of this creates for an environment that hugs you in the moment.

Kirsten and Connor, you two have a special magic, one that is real, that is warm, funny and brave - being with you on this day was very special and I hope our mutual connection to Hornby brings us the chance to connect in the future!
